First time in the foliage

and at any age, the first time in the foliage is quite an experience. Alot to see and touch. The weather co-operated perfectly and the leaves we bright and colorful.

What makes New England so great in the fall?

The Field Hockey Season !
Just another reason why it's my favorite time of the year.
The play off's have started. All the girls had a great time this year. They played hard...and hopefully had some fun too.
Sooo many great shots this year, it's really hard to pick just a couple to share.

He sits staring ..... staring at something in the bushes all the time. Keeping a watchful eye on something? Maybe it's just the cat?

And she just stares at him too....really trying to see or hear what he's hearing. Drives her crazy.

An interesting place to visit if you come to VT

A little bit about Vermont that is rather interesting. My son in studying Vermont history in school. A couple of weeks ago we took a little trip to the Vermont Marble factory. Which is one of Vermont's big exports. Fun and intersting muesum.

Loads of very cool carvings. This was the presidents room. Of course the next week they were going to Calvin Coolidge Estate...You know one of the Presidents. Did you know one of the Presidents was from Vermont.?

Well...we found his carving and his little info card.

They also had an artisit there making carvings while you watch. He was making an owl. Marble carving is a very loud art form. Lots of drills and hammering on stone.

My favorite part was all the old giant photographs of the places they mine the marble and of the factory we were standing in.

We crossed these tracks to get into the building.

More of the past few weeks

Out and about in the woods again. During the foliage, which by the way is THE BEST time of the year !
Nice and cool (generally for some reason it's unseasonally hot again here??)
Can you guess what we are collecting this day? Yes, the many leaves of bright colors only to bring home and press in wax paper. Maybe hang a few of the "tree stars" in the windows....again.

Smallest doggie model in the world, who infact just loves to have his picture taken. He poses wonderfully and is just as handsome as ever....and he's so spoiled !!
Being a model also requires alot of fluids and breaks. A quick sip from the near by pond and we are ready again. But...not without making sure I don't move from my spot...he keeps a very watchful eye on me !

Oh my...such a long time since the last update

I had no idea so much has passed by....I've got loads to share too....

He's such a good sport posing for me on pink paper and jewels. He didn't care, as long as he could have his baseball bat and hat.

The local state fair. Lots of fun for me. Everyone has a great time on the rides and playing games...while I'm out shooting night shots.
