OK Margie....the season has started !

The "minors" have started their season on baseball.
It's all new to all the kids. A real uniform, a real field with bases...and real rules. That's the stinky part. :)
So...some boredom set's in for the young players as they wait for the game to start. It's a tough job to resist getting very dirty with the cool silky sand they use on real fields. A little dirt never hurt right ?

So, Ramsay steps up to the plate already covered in dirt from pre-game playing, as he approaches the plate he notices.....

dirt all over the home plate....which needs a quick clean up before hitting....(any "real" player knows that )

The first big swing....Good thing they give you more than one chance !

Maybe he could scare the pitcher with a very serious look....oh the concentration...

And he made it too first base ! Yeah !....oh this will be an interesting season !

Another Prom

Colleen wanted some quickies of her new prom dress. So, we headed out to find some new location spots. Here's some of the test shots we got.

Silly Emerald. Not telling anyone her dress needed more than a few alternations...hours before leaving for her Senior Prom. :)

Stopped at my sisters house for a visit, which then turned into a sewing session trying to get Emerald's dress to fit. About 2 hours later....(yes, that's the indication that I am not the best seamtress around but what do you do with such short notice) a few pin stabbings, some band aids, burns from the iron, a couple of swear words and some pizza, we got the dress to stay on..

Impromptu pictures were very much in order after that.

So we darted outside on a VERY chilly breezy early evening to find a good spot.

Lake George, NY

Had some time to run over the the Lake the other day. It's a pretty busy place in the summer and you really can't get down to the Lake. It's nice to come here before Memorial day and just stroll around.

Framing with the tree and it's own shadow. They have some pretty large boats that you can take. They have dinner cruises on them. Never been on one to really check it out. The people I have talked too, say they have a really good time.

I might try a night time one some time.

And of course I thought of all the golfers I know...No..I don't golf...Thought it was cool how the sun was shining on the word golf.

What I must look like to a small dog.

Just a big giant dog...with a camera, laughing at the funny pictures. She wishes she could take a picture of me .....and laugh at me like I was of them.

She stood too close to the camera and got a funny little distorted look.Oh... it was too funny.

When I saw in the camera that she was getting distorted, I was laughing. Maybe I made her camera shy and self consience...she really wasn't to receptive to do sitting for me anymore after that. But, she tried again and sat for me.

And of course, the laughing caused Jack to come running to see what was going on.
Just like human kids...Had to be a part of the fun too.
You can almost hear him saying " what about me...take my picture too."

The calm after the storm

After last weeks big storm here, it was so nice to watch a beautiful sunset.

9 years ago....

on a very warm Easter day, after a full day of racking the yard and cleaning the house just as I had completely exhausted myself.....a little boy decided it was time for his arrival. Not too early...only by one day.
Luckily for us he made is arrival quick and grand....we barely made it to the hospital in time.
That seems to be his way of doing things in life now. Quickly...no time to waste.

Grandma came by for some cake and ice cream....and some Wii lessons....Cow racing is the best !

Almost spring in Vermont.....

Until we got six inches of snow two days ago. Crazy weather that's for sure.
The spring and Easter flowers are just over flowing in the stores right now.
How could anyone resist them?

I had the privilege of meeting 2 week old Maleah yesterday.
She is a beautiful baby girl with two big bothers that love her dearly!

Valentine's Blizzard

We finally got some snow !!!
2 feet actually. We were snowed in first thing and the day only got worse.
No school yesterday and no school today. ALOT of digging out today !.

Nothing fancy for pictures. I stayed inside as the wind made it feel like zero or below. The only brave one to go out was the 8 year old. He was lovin' the life and will have some serious "cave" to build out of the 6 foot plus snow banks.
